Adam Lipton
Assistant Debate Coach at Westwood High School
Adam has been actively coaching policy debate since graduating from Winston Churchill High School in 2012. As a competitor, Adam and his partner finished their senior year ranked as the #3 team in the country and one of the most successful debate partnerships in the history of Churchill debate. Since then has coached for numerous high schools as well as the University of Texas at Austin. Every year he has been coaching he has qualified a team to the Tournament of Champions or the National Debate Tournament. Most recently, he helped coach the 2020 TFA State Champions in Policy Debate, Westwood High School.
Adam has previously worked at the UT debate camp (UTNIF) and the Texas Speech and Debate Camp (TSDC) where he is frequently ranked as one favorite lab leaders of the camp; numerous TSDC students have gone on to reach UIL and TFA State elimination rounds after spending a summer working with him. He is looking forward to spending some of his summer in San Antonio where he once called home.
